MODEL:Asus GL553VD-DM254T
PCB: GL553VD rev:2.0

Hello!

There are only LED diodes inside the keyboard (without a driving circuit), so they must be powered with a constant current (not voltage).

Connect the keyboard backlight to the laboratory power supply and slowly increase the current from 0A upwards, until you reach the current of 120mA (0.12A). Read the voltage from the laboratory power supply, when you reach the target current of 120mA.

If so, the keyboard backlight is probably designed to be connected directly to 5V.
Repeat the test with a laboratory power supply. This time rise up the current limit to about 280mA and read the voltage from the power supply in this case.
If you get a voltage of about 5V, you can connect the keyboard backlight directly to the 5V.
