ASUS K53SV internal short circuit

  4. Nie jest dozwolone umieszczanie załączników w postaci kompletnych dokumentacji, a także jakichkolwiek wsadów BIOS / firmware (do tego służy dział PLIKI BIOS DO WERYFIKACJI). Dozwolone jest wyłącznie umieszczenie fragmentu dokumentacji, który ułatwi autorowi diagnostykę/naprawę sprzętu z wątku. W jednym poście można zamieścić nie więcej, niż jedną stronę instrukcji/schematu. Plik nie może posiadać widocznych znaków wodnych, napisów "confidential", adresów email etc.
  5. Nie jest dozwolone zamieszczanie linków do plików, znajdujących się na innych stronach internetowych.
  6. Nie jest dozwolone zakładanie tematu, który opisuje usterkę więcej niż jednego sprzętu. W takich przypadkach należy utworzyć osobne wątki dla każdego sprzętu.
  7. Nie jest dozwolone pisanie tematu lub postu, mającego charakter zapytania o schemat, boardview, zdjęcia płyty, wsad BIOS lub instrukcję serwisową. Do takich zapytań służy dział ZAPYTANIA O DOKUMENTACJE/BIOS.
 To jest wątek ARCHIWALNY. Możesz odpowiedzieć w nim tylko wtedy, gdy Twój post zawiera rozwiązanie problemu (Regulamin forum p. 12.1).

Hi, I have a problem with my ASUS K53SV (motherboard rev 2.3).
When I plus the DC jack it automatically power on with black screen (and no backlight), unresponsive keyboard, LEDs power and num lock green (if the battery is plugged in the battery LED becomes red), no video output fromVGA /HDMI ports, no beeps.
If I keep the power button pressed it shuts off but then it powers back on automatically with the same problems + the caps block LED green.
I found that almost all the capacitors and the mosfets (source-drain) are shorted in the area of the picture.

The notebook doesn't turn on properly.

I forgot to mention in the first post that both the CPU, GPU and chipset get hot and the fan starts spinning after about a minute

by programmer, just resolder bios from motherboard and flash

Are you kidding us??? You've set your Service Level as 4 (Advanced)! So now I'm forced to reduce your Service Level. And please don't lie to us anymore.

Anyway, please measure the current consumption (and provide results) after MB switching on.

Sorry for that, I was just woken up :frustry:
I tried to reprogram the flash (winbond 25q32bvsig) but the programmer gives me errors while erasing/writing.
I already ordered 2 new flash and thay should arrive in 2/3 days.

What programmer are you using? And what about the current consumption?

Flashed the BIOS to the flash memory with a CH341A programmer but nothing changed in the laptop behavior.
The current consumption is around 1.3A
