Hello everyone, this mysterious Laptop came with bios corruption in both Main Bios and Backup, and after programming and resoldering both SPI chips, laptop took almost an hour to reprogram itself, which is far longer than usual. After completion it was time to input DMI information and I realized that the letter C kept typing. I initially thought it was the keyboard, so I disconnected it and connected a USB keyboard, and the behavior was still the same. it still types even when the keyboard is disconnected. I have inspected the keyboard connector and surrounding areas, and nothing seems wrong and have also replaced the EC controller (NPCX797HA0BX) but the problem still persists... I also have to add that anytime I disconnect and reconnect the power, the laptop goes through the process of reprograming itself again and then during DMI input, the C keeps typing with or without keyboard connected. any idea what is causing this behavior?

Hello!
First of all, there are no "Backup" BIOS chip on this board. There are MAIN and EC BIOS chips.

Reflash both (MAIN and EC) BIOS chips with another dump.
If you don't have it, open a new thread in "ZAPYTANIA O DOKUMENTACJE/BIOS" department according to the rules and ask for the BIOS dumps. Don't forget to specify the major ICs markings according to the rules.

Also don't forget to transfer the BIOS ME-region from your old (original) dump to the new one.
