#1 Głośniki Logitech Z-10 - brak dźwięku po zwarciu

Głośniki Logitech Z-10

Oznaczenia płyty głównej:
BACH MAIN 212190-0000-A7

Hello!

Measure the voltages to ground on all pins of stabilizer LM317, when the speakers is turned on.

Napięcia na LM317:

16,4V
5,4V
4,1V

Zauważyłem, że nie można sterować regulacją głośności. Jest albo na minimum albo na max. Sterowanie Bass oraz Treble działa bez zarzutu.

I've noticed that I cant control volume level (its either on the max or minimum after turning on). I can control Bass and Treble with no problems. Should I post in English or Polish?

Measure the voltages to ground on pins 3, 7, 13 of chip TDA7377, when the speaker should play music.

No matter. I speak English, but I can translate Polish language to English.

Ok, i'll post in both languages - for other polish users ot the forum.
All the voltages are nearly the same - 16V.
I can hear only cracklings sounds while playing - no music at all.

My other observation: After turning on I can control volume level for a while till i hear a crack from the speaker and after that volume level is not operational. It reminds me my old faulty LM317 voltage regulator (no sound + no volume control after it got hot).
Maybe should I change LM317 once again?

PL:

According to your measurements in post #3 the chip LM317 seems okay.

Use a continuity tester and check if the heat sink of chip TDA7377 is connected to the ground.
If so, solder a resistor with a value 10-22kΩ between pins 3 and 10 of TDA7377. Measure the voltage to ground on pin 10 of TDA7377 in this case, when the speaker should play music.

Heatsink of TDA7377 is connected to the ground. I've soldered 10k Ohm resistor between pins 3 and 10. The voltage on the pin 10 of TDA7377 is 8,8V (when playing a music).

I'm using this pinout for TDA7377:

TDA7377 pinout

TDA7377 pinout is correct.
The voltage measurements also seems ok.

Do you have an oscilloscope?

Unfortunately I have no osciloscope. Is there anything more I can do with my multimeter? Do You have any suggestions?

Connect an external speakers to that machine and touch the pins 4, 5, 11, 12 of chip TDA7377 with your finger one by one, when the machine is turned on (You can use something metal to touch the exact pin. Be careful to not do a short circuit between pins with metal).
Check, if you hear a noise in the speakers, when you touch the pin.

You mean a speaker with two wires or another external speakers? Where and how should I connect a speaker to Z-10 speakers? Sorry but I don't understand this part.

Sorry, my fault :frusty: . I thought there are outputs (connectors) for another (passive) speakers.

In this case, just do the suggested test and check, if you hear a noise on these speakers, when you touch the suggested pins.

Thank You for the explanation. :) I'll check this tomorrow morning. Is it possible to test it with only 2 of 4 speakers connected?

UPDATE:

Yes, I can hear some noise comming from the speakers when touching pins 4, 5, 11, 12.

Is it normal that LM317 is getting very hot after connecting power supply, when speakers are turned off?

It means that the output power stage works okay.
It seems that the issue is somewhere on the processor / preamplifier circuit.
The schematic for that board is unavailable, so the further diagnostic is difficult.

I don't know.
