Hi everyone, the laptop charges the battery up to 2 percent and will not go further. The charge IC is BQ738 and I have replaced it with a new one, but still the same. I have checked all MOSFETs around the IC and they all seem to be OK. Here are the voltage readings on the charge IC Pins:
1. ACN - 19V
2. ACP - 19V
3. CMSRC - 19V
4. ACDRV - 24V
5. ACPRES - 3.2V
6. ACDET - 2.6
7. IOUT - 0.3V
8. SDA - 3.2V
9. SCL - 3.2V
10. ILIM - 0.8V
11. BATDRV - 11.3V
12. SRN - 11.3V
13. SRP - 11.3V
14. GND
15. LODRV - 0V
16. REGN - 5.9V
17 BTST - 17.6V
18.HIDRV - 15.1V
19. PHASE - 11.5V
20. VCC - 19V
I checked these readings against another model (ENVY 17) using the same IC type and the only difference was PIN15 (LODRV), which was 2.0V. I have checked the LODRV MOSFET on the faulty motherboard and it appears OK. Any help will be appreciated.
