MSI GeForce RTX2060 Ventus GP OC - No Display, No Fan spin, 12v present

Hello

I have the above card and it is not showing any display or fan spin, quick measurements show no obvious short and the card is getting 12v and 5v but no other voltages. It is from an OEM MSI desktop with a Core i5-10400F processor so i am unable to use on-board/integrated display to see if card is detected etc.

Please see voltage and resistance measurements, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Measure the voltages to ground on all pins of chip U509.

All 5 pins of U509 have 0v. When looking at the area under the microscope it appears that there has been a knock to some components and a resistor R778 maybe missing and pin 3 of U509 looks like it might be damaged, also R769. Please see picture of the area.

Replace the marked resistors:

R769= 10kΩ/1%, package 0402
R778= 4.99kΩ/1%, package 0402

Carefully inspect the entire board for more physical damage.
If everything seems fine, measure the voltages to ground on pins 1, 3, 4 of chip U510.

I have replaced the two resistors R769 and R778, i can not see any other damage/missing components after checking the board, this area was next to the mounting bracket and it is a bit loose so i think this had scraped across the corner to knock them off.

The card is now powering up with fan spin and display, the measurements for U510 are

1= 3.3v
3= 3.3v
4= 5v

At least one of this measurements was most likely wrong.

The measurements on U510 are normal.
