Model : Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBY
Board id: AIVP1/AIVP2 LA-C771P Rev 1.0

Laptop deosn't respond when press power key. Power Key is ok (3.3V). 3.3V ALW, 5V ALW, 1.8V ALW, 1.05V ALW all are ok. LID_SW is ok (3.3V). RTC_RST is ok (3.3V). EC_ON is 3.3V. PBTN_OUT# is 1.8V. EC_RST is 3.3V. But with or without press power key, RSM_RST is 0V. BIOS flashing can't solve the problem. Need help.

Measure the voltage to ground on pin 100 of EC controller (UB1) after pressing power button. If you read 1.8V or 3.3V then disconnect the charger, wait 15 seconds, connect the charger back, connect the oscilloscope to pin 122 of EC (PBTN_OUT# signal), press the power button and check if you have a 60ms wide negative pulse about 200ms after releasing the power button.

Voltage to ground on pin 100 of EC controller (EC_RSMSRT) is 0V with or without press power key. PBTN_OUT# is 1.8V. Unfortunately, i don't have any oscilloscope.

Please measure the voltage to ground on pin 114 of EC controller in three steps:
  1. after connecting the charger (battery not connected),
  2. while pressing and holding the power button,
  3. after releasing power button.
Then disconnect all the power, wait 1-2 minutes and measure the resistance to ground on pin 100 of EC controller.

Pin 114 - 3.27V ( Without press power key / After releasing power key )
Pin 114 - 0V ( While pressing and holding the power button )
Resistance to ground on Pin 100 - 99K

So either the EC controller or its firmware is faulty. Please reflash the EC firmware first (this one is programmable). You can extract the EC firmware directly from your BIOS dump (address range: 0x500000-0x51FFFF). Please note that EC firmware contains DMI data (address range: 0x1F000-0x1F3FF). If your BIOS dump does not have these, you will need to fill them in manually, after confirming that the EC firmware did the trick.

Unfortunately, i don't have EC programmer. I only have RT809F Programmer. Can i replace EC chip from same model?
