#1 CNC milling machine MAHO MH 600 C screen flickering lines

Hello!

My friend has the machine mentioned in the title. It's an old CNC machine with a CRT monitor.

There are flickering lines in the picture, but not across the entire screen (video clip in attachment):

The CRT monitor has a DB-9 video connector, so I can't check with another monitor, but I think the problem is related to the video card, as the lines are not across the entire screen.

The video card is Philips 4022 226 3433:

Monitor is connected to the left "Video" connector. The adjacent "Graphics" connector is for 3D rendering.

Any idea how to find the issue?

The video card has some ICs inserted into sockets for easy replacement/swap. These sockets oxidate over time and often cause an improper connections to the pins of ICs. I would suggest to remove all ICs (one by one), clean the sockets and check all pins (including ICs pins) for any signs of oxidation. Try to insert ICs back and pull out into the sockets couple times.

Yes, exactly. This card is mounted in a "rack stand" where the pins and components are completely inaccessible from the outside. The only way is to solder test wires directly to the test points and somehow get them out of the rack. There aren't even any holes in the rack to run the wires through. In short, very unfriendly when it comes to taking measurements...

There are two the same RAM chips on the board, which I swapped with each other, and nothing changed either.

I examined all the chips and sockets under a microscope and found nothing that indicated oxidation or anything like that.

I also replaced all the sockets with a brand new ones just in case, but nothing changed.

I would also add that the anomalies in the picture are different every time we turn on the machine. They look more or less the same, but they appear at different areas of the picture on the screen.
I also found that both outputs from the card ("video" and "graphics") must be plugged, otherwise there is no content on the screen, only light (similar to the backlight at LCD screens).

Any other idea?
