Hello,
I repair Dell XPS M1530. Failure on the graphics chip is NVIDIA G84-600-A2 0835A2 U808D288 PA0947.01W.
Notebook no picture on the screen.
I heated the GPU hotair station. It started to work, the DELL logo are previewed.
I exchanged new G84 GPU-600-A2 0818A2 U8004C750 PA0116.01W.
This GPU is full of with 32 units and is used all VRAM.
After soldering only shows on external monitor with artifacts.
This is the same GPU problem I had with Toshiba X200-251st They were also artifacts, I finally gave old and reballed.
The chip I put into the MSI GX600 which works without problem.
Where can therefore be problem? It may be some difference in the Revision on the chip? It would be possible modification motherboard to work?
I tried to add a resistor R300 32MB --> 16 megabytes (BAR2_SIZE). The picture is much better but bad.
I am 100% sure that the new GPU is working. Only on some Motherboards is a problem. For sure I measured all the capacitors on the package, no short circuit.
Can I ask you for your help? Thank you.
